Never Just a Student

Early last year, I had the chance to be a finalist in Running Start's Young Women to Watch Awards, spending months training and campaigning to be elected as the organization's 2022 Ambassador.

The most memorable part of the whole competition came on the night of the vote, when I stood in front of a room full of successful, accomplished women and said, “But, I'm just a student.” The response I received that night left an impression I still hold close: you are never just anything.
