Mentoring the Bay Area Team
A full circle moment as an alum mentor.
Last week I had a full circle moment serving as an Alum Mentor for the Running Start High School Program. I led a team of brilliant, inspiring girls from the Bay Area through leadership training, networking, and a campaign simulation.
We spent time at the White House, at the Congressional Women's Softball Game, and on Capitol Hill, and it was an honor to meet leaders like Congresswoman Nanette Barragán and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley alongside my team.
My team, and every participant in this year's program, is already paving the way as leaders. I learned as much from them as I hope they learned from me. Shout out to my Bay Area team: Gavia Grewal, Gabrielle McAllister, Violet Philhower, and Saran Tugsjargal.
